China automobile production rose 10.03% in July 2012

China’s auto production was 1,437,100 units in July, decreased 6.15% compared with June, and up 10.03% compared with the same period of last year, according to statistics and analysis of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
Among main automobile categories, production of passenger cars was 1,184,800 units, lower than the previous 5.88% and up 12.79% year-on-year; the output of commercial vehicle was 252,300 units, lower than the previous 7.40%, and decrease 1.32% compared with the same period of last year.
From January to July this year, China automobile production reached 10,968,700 units, an increase of 4.84% compared with the same period of last year; Production of passenger cars was 8,785,600 units, increase 8.52% year-on-year; the output of commercial vehicle was 2,183,100 units, decreased by 7.76% compared with the same period of last year.
